Drew has more than fifteen years of experience working in health care systems delivering operational improvements, cost reductions, and process redesigns within Supply Chain Solutions, Surgical Services, and Pharmacy Operations. He has led non-labor cost reduction engagements for $2B+ healthcare
systems. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated the ability to lead teams and drive transformational change in organizations with a commitment to developing people, building relationships, and implementing sustainable solutions to the most complex business challenges.

Prior to joining HealthTrust, Drew spent 4 years at Deloitte Consulting identifying and implementing complex cost savings initiatives for large IDN’s. Drew has his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business and his undergraduate degree from Duke University.

Mike Overa, Senior Director of Laboratory Services

Mike Overa joined HealthTrust in 2016 as a Senior Director of Laboratory Services with over 25 years of experience in ancillary services operations and management. Previously Overa was the Corporate Director of Laboratory Services, and Director of Genetics and Personalized Genomic Medicine at Atlantic Health System. Before that he was the Corporate Vice President of Clinical Services for Group Practice Services Corporation a for-profit corporation specializing in the management of ancillary services for physician groups.

Overa holds a Bachelor of Science from Bloomsburg University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Widener University in Pennsylvania. Overa has done speaking engagements regarding the value of laboratory medicine and in his free time enjoys golf, and following South Carolina Rugby.

Ohoud Abu-hijleh is a Medical Technologist by training, who started her career at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and then moved to Baylor Scott and White where she worked in different roles for 20 years. She joined Tenet Health in 2019 as Director of Laboratory Operations where she oversees the operations of 60 critical care hospitals in addition to multiple surgical hospitals and physician office labs. Standardization in clinical practice and laboratory instrumentation is her passion as it improves patient care, increased efficiencies, and provides financial savings.
