HealthTrust is committed to providing opportunities for small and emerging businesses by ensuring fair consideration as suppliers of contracted products and services. When a supplier registers via the Prospective Supplier Profile, they will have an opportunity to indicate that they are a supplier accredited by certain organizations in the supplier space. When a bid opportunity arises, this information is passed on to the appropriate sourcing personnel.

By supporting small and emerging suppliers, we can help generate wealth among small businesses and thus, in turn, add economic value to the communities our members serve through job creation, wages, and tax revenue. Because, as small businesses grow, so do the economies of our member communities.

*“New technology” is classified as a product that, as compared to existing products:

  • Offers significant technological advancements,
  • Improves clinical outcomes or patient care in a significant way (i.e., documented reduction in procedure times, outcomes, lengths of stay, readmissions, infection rates), or
  • Streamlines work processes and/or the economics of facility operations in a significant way (i.e., increase or decrease expenses in supply chain or resource utilization).

Demonstration of the above through independent, peer-reviewed publication(s) is beneficial, but not required.*
