HealthTrust Performance GroupSM, a provider owned and operated improvement organization for healthcare, today announced that six senior executives will participate in the Supply Chain Leadership Summit on October 3-5, 2023 at the Westin Alexandria Old Town in Alexandria, Virginia. The annual conference is attended by providers, group purchasing professionals, distributors, pharmacy experts, and healthcare consultants. The event is hosted by the Healthcare Supply Chain Association (HSCA) in advocacy of its mission to improve all aspects of the healthcare supply chain.
HealthTrust leaders will share their perspectives as true hospital operators with decades of experience managing supply chain and operational initiatives for leading health systems. Representing HealthTrust Performance Group and contributing as speakers and panelists during the three-day event will be the following:
Ed Jones, HealthTrust President and CEO, will participate in an Executive Panel of HSCA board members discussing how GPOs are evolving to address future healthcare supply chain needs.
Ron Powell, Jr., CEO of Supply Chain for HCA Healthcare’s National Group, and Thomas Chickerella, Regional CEO of Managed Supply Services for HealthTrust, will be on a platform with national leaders examining how health systems can make the best decisions about the medical supplies and equipment needed to care for patients.
Robin Czajka, Vice President of Data Solutions, will share takeaways from research HealthTrust is conducting and how this information is helping to inform enhancements to current and future services.
Improving the pharmacy supply chain will be the topic of a panel of national experts including Jennifer Higdon, Assistant Vice President of Pharmacy Operations and Expense Management for HealthTrust.
Lastly, a panel will speak to the role the healthcare supply chain can play in combating human trafficking. Michael Wargo, Vice President of Emergency Operations and Medical Transport for HCA Healthcare, will participate on behalf of HealthTrust.
