HealthTrust Completes Acquisition of ROi

NASHVILLE, Tenn., October 1, 2019 – HealthTrust, a leading healthcare performance improvement company, today announced it has completed the purchase of Resource Optimization & Innovation, LLC (ROi), a St. Louis-based group purchasing organization with members including Mercy, Orlando Health, Inc., and Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. ROi is also accountable for supply chain management at Mercy, one of the nation’s largest Catholic health systems.

“This transaction aligns true operators and will build on ROi’s legacy of integrated supply chain excellence. We expect this consolidation to further strengthen our contract portfolio through our respective commitments to a high-compliance model,” commented Ed Jones, president and chief executive officer of HealthTrust. “I welcome our newest associates who will continue their responsibility to Mercy and other members while helping us leverage key assets including a supply distribution network and private label business.”

As part of the transaction, ROi’s custom procedure tray operation, offering customized surgical packs tailored for clinical end-users, has been established as ROi CPS, LLC, a new company majority-owned by HealthTrust with Mercy and other former ROi owners maintaining a minority ownership.
