HealthTrust to support development of regional GPO for custom contracting
BRENTWOOD, Tennessee—June 30, 2016—HealthTrust℠ today announces that it was selected by AllSpire Health GPO, LLC (AllSpire), a new regional group purchasing organization (GPO), to be its exclusive national GPO and support the development of a regional contract portfolio for categories where local market dynamics drive optimal value and service. Under terms of the agreement, each of the six health systems that own AllSpire will be HealthTrust members and fully utilize its committed portfolio. HealthTrust will further lead the development of the AllSpire custom portfolio for medical devices and purchased services.
AllSpire is owned by New Jersey-based Atlantic Health System, Inc. (Morristown), Hackensack University Health Network (Hackensack) and Meridian Health (Neptune), and Pennsylvania-based Lehigh Valley Health Network (Allentown), Reading Health System (Reading) and WellSpan Health (York). Hackensack, which has been a HealthTrust member since 2011, continues as a member while the other systems will be fully onboarded with HealthTrust during the third quarter of 2016.
