BRENTWOOD, Tennessee—August 19, 2015— HealthTrust℠ honored its 2015 Member Recognition Award winners yesterday during the 2015 HealthTrust University (HTU) Conference & Vendor Fair, held in Nashville. The organization established its annual awards program to acknowledge the outstanding performance and contributions of its members. The categories for nominations included:
- Outstanding Member – recognizes members who have demonstrated the greatest financial improvement using HealthTrust cost savings initiatives, contract compliance and adoption of new contract categories.
- Operational Excellence – recognizes members who have implemented and demonstrated a best practice in streamlining and maximizing supply chain operations and/or cost savings initiatives.
- Clinical Excellence – recognizes members who have implemented and demonstrated a best practice in supply chain clinical initiatives.
- Social Stewardship – recognizes members who have demonstrated a commitment to conservation and preservation of the health care environment, have a proven track record of advancing diversity in their use of minority- and women-owned business enterprises, and /or have gone “above and beyond” in their community outreach efforts to improve access to care.
- Gita Wasan Patel Pharmacy Excellence Award – recognizes members who have implemented and demonstrated a best practice in supply chain pharmaceutical initiatives, including improvements in patient care outcomes, operational efficiency and/or financial savings.
